Helping Empower Youth provides an opportunity to mobilize, motivate, and inspire young people to take action that changes their world.
Marc A. Boyd, known to most as KD, has called Atlanta home for nearly all of his life. A military veteran, Marc was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps in 2006. Upon settling into civilian life, Marc began working at Lockheed Martin building one of the things he loves the most, airplanes. During a break from Lockheed, Marc made a life changing decision to dedicate a year of life to service, once again. He served as an AmeriCorps member with the HandsOn Atlanta state program. it was here that his love of educating children resurfaced and made a deliberate decision to find a way to continue giving back in a more formal and committed fashion.
