Join us as we celebrate reading!
Reading opens the creativity and imagination of each child who holds a book.
Our first event hosted over 200 people and our second... over 1,200 people! And now we are hosting our 7th festival! We are looking for an even greater turnout for this event. Become a part of the movement!
HEY! Let's Read Book Festival! will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 10am - 3pm.
Join us and KISS 104.1's The Morning Groove On-Air personalities for a half-day filled with activities and resources dedicated to Children of Color. In addition to books available for purchase from local and nationally-recognized authors, giveaways that feature Children of Color as the protagonists and main characters, there will be opportunities to foster a love of reading and learning! We will have a limited Adult Corner... all material is family friendly :-)
Food vendors will be available, along with face painting, music & entertainment, storytelling and raffles! Local and nationally-recognized authors and vendors will be present to help you select the perfect picks for your child's reading list during this festive time of entertainment, storytelling, and books!
Vendors are accepted and will receive online marketing and listing on all websites and social media accounts related to the event and listing on the day of event marketing and posters. You will also have one 5ft table and two chairs available for you as well. For local authors, the opportunity to have your book read during our Thursday night FB lives is also available!
